We are dedicated to making exquisite guitars using only the finest materials available.  Each guitar has unique qualities and is made by me personally from start to finish.  My goal is not to make a lot of money, but to make really great guitars.

With a Laguna CNC machine and a Bridgeport milling machine cuts within .001 inch tolerance are possible and reproducible .  At Caladesi Guitars we use these machines and others when absolute precision is required. This process guarantees consistent accuracy on the fretboard, for example.

Although the company was only formed in 2016, I have been playing steel guitars and doing woodworking projects since the early 1970’s.  My name is Dan Campbell and I use a large, experienced network of specialists that assist me in aspects of the manufacturing process.

There are several reasons why I decided to form this company, but the founding principle was that I had no interest in building the cheapest lap Steel guitar out there.  Instead, I wanted to build the best non-pedal steel guitar possible and at the same time make it affordable.  In the past several years I have been making and selling a variety of lap Steel guitars, console steel guitars (single and double neck), and now a new patent pending “Slide Guitar Hybrid” Guitars.

• The desire for a very high-end lap and console steel guitar that had the deep rich sound.

• The desire to create a new guitar that will allow players to play the Lap Steel that one can hold like a Dobro, walk around with, and even dance with.

• I wanted it to be as beautiful to look at as it is a joy to play.

• The desire for a high-end guitar to be as affordable as possible to as many players as possible.

• I wanted the guitar to draw upon the past and yet offer some special innovative ideas. To do this I have drawn upon the design ideas primarily from Fender, Gibson, National and Rickenbacker, but also incorporate new technology.

• I wanted to offer some custom possibilities.

It has taken several years of testing and innovation to arrive at a series of products that I believe meets the criteria I set out to make.
