Inspired primarily by the vintage Rickenbackers and Gibson lapsteels, these guitars are typically made from cherry, walnut and maple woods.

The 6 strings lapsteels typically come with a humbucker (various options) and a 3 or 4 way switch.
The 8 string lapsteels typically come with Lace Alumitone pickups. A variety of switch options are also available.

8 strings typically use Lace Alumitone, Gibson Grand Console or Lollar pickups (other options also available)
6 strings typically use a variety of humbuckers
Real wood fretboards with dots 22.5, 23.5, 24.5 (inlay also available)
Custom solid brass nickel plated Nut and Bridge (through body or not) built by Caladesi Guitars
Thick Hardwood Body (usually cherry, curly maple, and walnut) natural finish or for painted colors

The 6 string lapsteel uses the Seymore Duncan’s Antiquity LapSteel pickup.

This is a flat pole, single coil pickup that is very similar in certain respects to a Tele lead pickup. Each bobbin is fabricated and specially hand-wound using vintage techniques. The bobbins are wrapped in waxed string for added coil protection, and the hookup wire is the classic cloth push-back wire. Many players who didn’t like the stagger of the later Tele pickups pulled these out of lap steels and converted them into Tele lead pickups so they could get back to the old flat pole look and sound of the 53 Tele. The 8 string lapsteels typically feature Lace Alumitone pickups although others are available.

The Lace Alumitone ToneBar is a great, clean, true hi-fidelity pickup. Providing extended bandwidth to faithfully reproduce your instruments natural tone, it also has the guts to hold up under gain and attack!
